What is more economical, a built-in pool or a prefabricated one?
There is a clear economic difference between a prefabricated pool and built-in pools.
Price of prefabricated pools
Nowadays the difference in the purchase price of a concrete pool and a polyester one is considerable. Prefabricated pools are still cheaper today since the initial price can vary between 15% and 25% compared to built-in pools.
There are other factors unrelated to the price that can help you make the decision as to which pool to buy:
How long does it take to install?
The difference between the installation of a brick pool and a polyester pool is very considerable. While the construction pool takes a minimum of 3 months without adding the fact of requesting construction permits.
On the other hand, monoblock pools, although you also have to request permits, are much faster to install. In just 3 or 4 days you can have your MondePra monoblock pool installed in your garden, as long as the weather permits.
Maintenance cost of each pool
Having a pool requires specific maintenance to prevent problems from arising over the years. If we calculate all maintenance costs over a period of 10 years we can see a big difference. Built-in pools are rigid while prefabricated polyester or fiberglass pools have a certain flexibility. Sufficient flexibility so that, if there is any seismic movement, the pool is not affected by any type of breakage as happens in construction pools.
With a polyester pool you will have less maintenance costs since you will have to use fewer chemicals and you will save energy. Another more economical factor is the cost of cleaning the pool; a construction pool will require a more thorough and expensive cleaning. Construction pools are characterized by being formed through stone or tile (mosaic), which means that cleaning requires more chemicals and more maintenance. On the other hand, our polyester pools, being smooth, do not allow algae to adhere and therefore dirt is much easier to clean.
Are monoblock pools or construction pools more economical?
Considering the purchase price and future costs of the two pools, the winners are the polyester pools. You will be buying a quality pool, reliable and cheaper than a construction pool. Furthermore, if one day you get tired of the color of your monoblock pool, you can repaint it in a different color and enjoy your renovated pool in just 2 or 3 days. On the other hand, with the work, the cost is infinitely higher and the production is difficult to do in a short time.
The price is only one factor of many others that have to be taken into account, such as: measurements, shape, color, location... but with certainty we can say that, if you choose a pool, for example, a high-end one, such as you would find in Ceramic de Luxe, the Levitter model, with the incorporated Gravity stoneware and the Rhodonite color, we could talk about the cost that a small, low-quality construction pool would entail.
